Individual Placement and Support in Primary Care Settings (IPSPC)

IPSPC is a free confidential service to support residents to find suitable sustainable employment.

A team of specialist advisers will provide local residents with one to one information,
advice and guidance.

Employment is known to be positive for good health. Supporting people to access employment through IPSPC will build on individuals’ strengths and skills, enabling them to realise their potential.

Who can get IPSPC support?
Residents who are employed or unemployed who have a common mental health and/ or physical health disabilities as defined by the Equality Act 2010.

IPSPC support will provide the following:

  • A personalised approach to support people to find a job of their choosing.
  • Support for both employers and employees to sustain the job placement or
    alternatively find other employment.
  • Access to specialist health teams to provide a holistic approach to support people.
  • Help for employers to make reasonable workplace adjustments.
  • Ongoing in-work support.

IPSPC is fully funded by the Department for Work & Pensions. The funding will enable Our Newham Work to help local people to remain in employment or find new jobs.
