The voice of learning disability in Richmond.
Activities:
- Mencap Club. Chat, play, learn and relax at this social club on the first and third Thursday every month.
-
Connect to Tech. Richmond AID, Richmond Mind, Ruils, Richmond Mencap and Age UK are all working together on Connect to Tech! We will support adults living in the borough of Richmond to help people stay in touch with friends and family, find information about services and explore new tools for support.
-
Working Together Group. We work with the Local Learning Disability Partnership Board to support their events and make sure our voices get heard. We work on consultations training GP’s and school students and plan events.
-
Something to Say. Richmond Mencap’s local performing arts group that takes place right inside Richmond Theatre – we love our drama and have lots to say! As young adults with different learning abilities, we practice performing arts and create powerful performances inspired by themes and issues that affect our own lives.
-
Meeting Place. A social club formed to provide a safe place to chat, socialise and meet with peers. The Meeting Place is for people living independently in the borough and ensures people are supported so they do not feel isolated.
-
TheWii & Pizza Club. A relaxed friendship group who meet up to eat pizza and play games.
-
Holiday Opportunities Programme (HOP). The activities are day and evening trips focused on sports, visits and activities that are suitable for a range of abilities.
-
Children & Young People’s Activities. We currently run activities for children and young people during half terms, summer holidays, and once a month on a Sunday.
