Whitton Network is a friendly, local charity offering practical help and companionship to elderly, disabled, and vulnerable people in Whitton.
Our volunteers provide a range of neighbourly services designed to make daily life easier and more enjoyable:
- Transport: Door-to-door lifts from your home to local hospitals, GP surgeries, dentists, clinics, chiropodists, shops, post offices, hairdressers, social clubs, and leisure classes.
- Shopping & Prescription Collection: Volunteers can do your shopping and collect prescriptions from local pharmacists.
- Companionship: We visit people who are isolated and in need of company, friendship, and a little help with household paperwork.
- Carer Support: Our volunteers provide cover for carers when they need to attend appointments, giving carers peace of mind.
- Outings Programme: Join us for visits to local places of interest, often including lunch or tea together.
- Information & Signposting: We publish three newsletters a year with useful information and can direct you to other organisations for additional support.
Who can use our service? We support older people, those with disabilities, and anyone in Whitton who needs a helping hand.
