Healthy You offers free NHS Health Checks for people aged 40-74 in Huntingdonshire. These checks are designed to spot early signs of stroke, kidney disease, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, or dementia, and help you find ways to lower your risk.
What happens at your appointment?
- 20-30 minute appointments available during the day, weekends, and evenings.
- Your height, weight, age, sex, ethnicity, blood pressure, cholesterol, and HbA1c are recorded.
- Immediate results are shared with you and your GP.
- Receive advice on how to improve your health and help to access specialist support if needed.
Who is eligible?
- Anyone aged 40-74 who has not had a stroke, or does not have heart disease, diabetes, or kidney disease.
- If you are ineligible for a full NHS Health Check, you can still get a free Health MOT when you see Healthy You in the community.
