Wokingham Community Transport Scheme

The Transport Scheme helps those residents of the Wokingham area (RG40 and RG41) and Earley (RG6) who are unable to use public transport or cannot drive themselves for whatever reason. This low-cost service takes clients to medical and dental appointments around the district and beyond. Volunteer drivers stay with the client for the duration of their appointment, acting as a companion. This personal service is a lifeline for elderly and vulnerable residents, who may have no one else to depend upon. Volunteer drivers decide when and how far they want to drive and expenses are reimbursed. Membership of the scheme costs £24 for individuals and £36 for couples and provides a service to WB residents in possession of a WB bus pass. We are very keen to recruit new drivers, so if you are interested, please do contact us.
