Do you need a simple way to call for help or get alerts if something goes wrong at home?
Newham Council's Assistive Technology and Telecare service is for people in Newham who may need equipment to help them stay safer and more independent at home. Telecare includes a personal alarm linked to 24/7 monitoring, and further sensors or equipment may be provided after assessment.
- Get help at the press of a personal alarm button if you feel unwell at home
- Sensors can raise alerts for issues such as falls, smoke or carbon dioxide
- Support may help people with disabilities, memory loss or dementia, falls risk, or people recently discharged from hospital
- Alerts can go to Newham Network Telecare Service, a designated carer, or another monitoring route
- The monitoring and emergency response team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Cost: £1.75 per week if monitored by friends or family. £4.67 per week if monitored externally by Newham Network Telecare Services, or £6.52 per week with additional sensors.
