Healthy Homes for Wellbeing offers free energy and money saving advice to residents in Exeter, Mid Devon, East Devon, Teignbridge, and Torbay. Our friendly team of Home Energy Advisers provides practical support to help you save money and stay warm in your home.

We can help you with:

  • Tariff checks and supplier switching
  • Applying for the Warm Home Discount
  • Registering for the Priority Services Register
  • Energy and water saving tips and advice
  • Grants for insulation and heating
  • Heating control advice
  • Smart meters
  • Referrals for help with benefits and debts

LEAP (Local Energy Advice Partnership) is a free service we deliver in partnership with AgilityEco, providing advice, support, and energy saving measures to eligible households. Our advisers can:

  • Share energy saving tips
  • Install free energy saving measures (e.g. LED bulbs, draught proofing, radiator reflectors)
  • Help with supplier or tariff changes and applying for discounts
  • Refer for help with benefits and debt (including water debt)
  • Advise on grants for insulation and heating
  • Sign up for the Priority Services Register
  • Refer for Fire Safety Checks
  • Provide information and help with Smart Meters

Eligibility for a LEAP home visit:

  • Low household income (under £31,000)
  • Receiving tax credits, housing benefit, income or disability related benefits

We also offer free talks to community groups and training for frontline workers to help them support others with energy advice and referrals. If you know someone struggling to keep their home warm or pay their energy bills, please refer them to us or encourage them to get in touch.

Service access criteria:

We are happy to answer any energy related questions for all residents in Mid Devon, East Devon, Exeter, Teignbridge and Torbay . However we can only do a free energy advice home visit for those on a total household income of less than £36,000 per year.
