After18 offers a weekly art and photography group for young asylum seekers and refugees aged 15 to 25. The group provides a safe space that helps young people broker their adjustment to living in the UK and reflect on their experiences, as well as learning new creative skills and gaining confidence in their own creative identity.
The small group is led by the needs of the young people and facilitated in a trauma-informed way. Young people work at their own pace and have the opportunity to learn a range of skills and techniques, including oils, watercolour, graphics and photography.
