Richmond Foodbank helps local people in crisis by providing emergency food supplies and support.
If you are struggling to afford food, our foodbank offers three-day emergency food parcels to individuals and families in need. Last year, we distributed over 5,300 food supplies to people facing hardship in our community.
How it works:
- We operate a voucher referral system. If you are in financial crisis, you can obtain a voucher from a local agency or by calling the free national helpline (see below).
- Once you have a voucher, visit one of our distribution centres to redeem it for an emergency food parcel.
Who can use the service?
- Anyone living in Richmond or the surrounding area who is experiencing financial crisis and unable to afford food.
- Support is available for people of all backgrounds, and translators can be provided if needed.
How to get help:
- Call the free national helpline, Help through Hardship, on 0808 2082138 (Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm) to speak confidentially with a trained Citizens Advice adviser. They can help you access a voucher and provide advice on benefits and grants.
- Alternatively, contact us directly by phone or email for local support and information.
How to support us:
- We rely on donations of food, money, and time from our local community. Find out how to donate or volunteer on our website.
All services are free of charge.
