Get involved and make a difference in Braunstone!

Volunteering with b inspired’s Neighbourhood Support Services offers a fantastic way to enhance your CV, meet new people, and take part in meaningful activities that improve the lives of local residents. Whether you’re looking for short-term or long-term opportunities, we have roles to fit around your availability.

  • Befriending Service: Interact with older people, either face-to-face or over the phone, helping to reduce loneliness and build connections.
  • Foodbank Support: Help with the day-to-day running of our foodbank, including dating food donations, creating emergency bags, and supporting seasonal projects.
  • Community Magazine: Create content for our magazine, including photos, articles, and graphic design, or help deliver the Braunstone Alert to assigned routes in the area.
  • Ad-hoc Volunteers: Lend a hand during busy times such as Harvest Festival and Christmas, and fill in for cover on other volunteering areas as needed.

All volunteers receive a full induction and relevant training (e.g. Food Hygiene, Manual Handling) to help you succeed in your role. Volunteering is open to students, people with rotating shifts, and anyone who wants to give back to the community.

Current Vacancies:

  • Braunstone Alert Delivery Person: Ideal for students and those needing advanced notice. Help deliver our magazine every two months in groups—a great way to meet new people.
  • Ad-hoc Volunteers: Support us during busy periods and with seasonal projects.
