Riverbank Trust is a Christian charity dedicated to supporting single mothers of all faiths and none. We offer long-term emotional and practical support to help mums facing bereavement, relationship breakdown, or any other cause of single motherhood. Our mission is to 'be there' for mums, providing hope and community.
What we offer:
- One-to-one relationships: A dedicated Riverbank team member meets with mums, offering a caring, listening ear and ongoing support for as long as needed.
- Small community groups: Safe spaces for single mums to meet, share experiences, and support each other. We run mother and toddler groups, craft and breakfast mornings, parenting groups, and support groups for children with additional needs.
- Network partnerships: We connect mums with local churches, community partners, foodbanks, and programs like Kids Matter to provide additional resources and support.
Riverbank Trust is not a statutory service, but an independent charity supported by the church community. We work in partnership with local government, schools, churches, and other agencies to deliver transformative impact in the lives of single mothers.
Our approach is warm, wise, and non-judgmental. Mums describe our service as "life-saving", "a second family", and "a safe place" for themselves and their children.
