Stay active, independent, and connected with our Live Stronger for Longer (LSFL) Community Falls Prevention Classes across Derbyshire!

Our LSFL classes are designed to help older adults improve their strength, balance, and confidence, reducing the risk of falls and supporting a healthy, active lifestyle. All classes are approved, accredited, and regularly monitored to ensure the highest standards of safety and effectiveness.

  • Wide range of classes: Choose from Chair Based Exercises (CBE), Otago Exercise Programme, Postural Stability Group (PSG), and Tai Chi. Whether you are new to exercise, need seated options, or are ready for more advanced balance work, there is a class for you.
  • Social engagement: Most sessions include refreshments and time to chat, helping you connect with others in your community.
  • Expert instructors: All sessions are led by qualified staff, approved by Falls Activity Advisors.
  • Home exercise support: Access a series of short videos and downloadable resources to help you stay active at home, improve mobility, and maintain independence.
  • Accessible locations: Classes are available in Amber Valley, Bolsover, Chesterfield, Derbyshire Dales, Erewash, Glossop, High Peak, North East Derbyshire, South Derbyshire, and online via Zoom.
