Behind the smile

We support people with poor Mental health and those Bereaved by Suicide.  We do this by facilitating peer support groups,  our Wednesday afternoon group, whilst still being peer support is more of a social get together. We talk of various topics related to mental health, self care, strategies to help, some days these may just be discussion starters, on the second week of the month we have art sessions.
We will be having small time limited groups for Women only, Men only, 18 - 35, Parent / Carers.
Once we have secured more funding we will be running Dungeons and Dragons for various groups ranging in ages between 12 to 25, with a mental health support element.

Once a month we facilitate peer support groups for those bereaved by suicide, at the moment this is the first Saturday afternoon of the month, we are aiming to run more of these in the week, if we find a need at the moment attendance is very low.

We have set up walk and talk groups, on a monthly basis, aiming to gradually increase this to weekly but attendance has been very low.

We meet people on a one to one basis, at our Wednesday group, or at a cafe, on a walk, a park etc. We have regular texts, emails, phone calls with various individuals, not just those attending our groups, people also email or talk via social media.
