The Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics Service at Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust provides expert advice and support on specialist nutrition for both children and adults.
Our dedicated team of registered dietitians, nurses, dietetic assistant practitioners, and dietetic assistants work across east and west Kent, offering tailored nutrition guidance for a wide range of needs. We support patients with:
- Malnutrition and faltering growth
- Gastrointestinal conditions
- Nutrition and cancer care
- Diabetes and weight management
- Enteral tube feeding
- Allergies
We deliver care in various settings, including virtual appointments, face-to-face clinics, community hospitals, care homes, and for those who are housebound. Group education sessions are also available.
Our service is organised into four main teams:
- Community Dietetics Team (adults)
- Community Dietetics Team (children)
- Home Enteral Nutrition Team (children and adults)
- Oncology Dietitians
How to access the service:
- You need to be referred by a GP or healthcare professional. Referral forms are available for each team.
- Appointments are available Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm.
