Home Plus (Leeds) helps people in Leeds to make their homes safer, warmer, and more suitable for independent living. If you are at serious risk of falling, struggling to heat your home or pay heating bills, need help with repairs that may cause hazards, or require information and advice to maintain your independence, this service is here for you.
Our services include:
- Falls Prevention: Support for those experiencing challenges that affect their ability to live independently and maintain good health at home.
- Heating and Energy: Help for people with needs impacting their ability to live healthily and comfortably in their own home.
- Hazard Repairs: Essential repairs (electrical, plumbing, joinery) for homeowners who pay council tax to Leeds City Council.
- Information & Advice: Guidance and answers to help you make informed decisions about your home and circumstances.
Our friendly team can arrange a home visit and provide practical support tailored to your needs. We have helped over 30,000 people regain their independence after a stay in hospital.

Location: This service is available to residents of Leeds only.

Falls - You will qualify for our Falls Prevention Service if you are 18 years+ and in any housing tenure and are at risk of falls.
Heating - We can help any household who pays council tax to Leeds City Council with a household income of less than £30,000 and savings of less than £16,000, and:
- Who are over age of 65, or Pregnant or living with dependent children under 18 years old, or
- Has a disability or long term health condition: e.g. respiratory, diabetes, arthritis or enduring mental health.
Repairs - You will qualify for the Hazard Repairs Service if you pay your Council Tax to Leeds City Council and are:
- 60 years or older, own your own home and are in receipt of Council Tax Benefit or
- Under 60 years, own your own home and are in receipt of both Council Tax Benefit and either PIP or DLA.
The Hazard Repairs Service covers essential plumbing, electrical and joinery works up to the value of £100 and is limited to one job per year.
Advice and Information - We can signpost onto other support services to help you find the most affordable option for you, in terms of energy tariffs and suppliers, claiming discounts and benefits and accessing the best advice.
