Generalist Advice & Information Service

We provide a generalist advice and information service to anyone living and/or working anywhere in Wokingham Borough.

We’re here for you whenever you need us.

We help people find a way forward with their issues, with a particular focus on queries around welfare benefits, debt, housing, relationship problems and employment law.

Through our One Front Door, we take the view that there is no wrong reason to reach out to us – if our core service cannot help you find a way forward, we will help you find another service that can.

If you are looking for advice, information or support people can call our adviceline/One Front Door on 0808 278 7958.

We are open Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, and Saturday 9am-1pm.

More of the enquiry areas that we provide advice on are:
- Welfare benefits
- Debt
- Employment law
- Housing
- Consumer
- Family
- Discrimination
- Immigration

We also provide hardship support, including referrals to charities providing food, clothing and other support. We also handle Wokingham United Charities emergency grants programme for relief in need of individuals.
