Family Support Work (FSW) helps families in Sussex overcome difficulties and prevent crisis. Since 1890, we have supported children and families facing challenges such as poverty, ill health, learning difficulties, bereavement, family break-up, and domestic abuse.
What we offer:
- Intensive support through home visits, group work, and community-based activities
- Emotional and practical help, including listening, advice, advocacy, food parcels, support groups, and play activities
- Long-term support – we stay with families until they are back on their feet
Our team works with families experiencing isolation, mental health struggles, housing issues, and more. Every year, we change the lives of thousands of children across Sussex.
How to access: Families must live in Sussex. Referrals can be made via our website or by contacting our central office. Services are free for eligible families.
