Practical support for people aged 60+

GoodGym makes a contribution to improving quality of life for older people.

What is a mission?

A mission is a one-off practical task to help an older person over 60 in their home or garden. Missions aim to enable older people to remain safe and independent at home.

We can help out with a whole range of low skill tasks as long as there are necessary tools provided and a plan for removal of any waste. Tasks include replacing light bulbs, garden clearance or moving heavy furniture.

Further examples include: from hanging curtains for Mr H because he can't manage it on his own, to shovelling a tonne of compost for the Food Growers Group so they can grow vegetables - every GoodGym run is different.
