BEfriend

BEfriend is a registered charity (no 1072538) established in 1994. We provide one-to-one volunteer befriending to people who are socially isolated because of physical, sensory, cognitive or psychological impairment.

We operate in the London Borough of Ealing and the London Borough of Hounslow through our three* projects:

Befriending Project:

Our core project supports people who are isolated and housebound without support. They may have a physical or sensory disability, or they may have mild dementia.

Linked Minds Project:

Our Linked Minds project provides specialist befriending for adults who are isolated because of a diagnosed mental health condition.

Telephone Befriending Project * (available to the London Borough of Ealing, only)

For those who would prefer a telephone call rather than a face-to-face visit, we now offer Telephone Befriending. This will be a weekly call by the same volunteer at the same time each week.
