Housing Related Support

We run specialist housing and support services for people who are homeless or at risk of becoming so. The service is designed to help people develop the skills and confidence to live more independently.

Our housing related support services assist people who are experiencing issues with their housing. The service is available to people over the age of 18 living in the Wokingham Borough who need a period of intensive housing related support.

We work with the following client groups:

· People with mental health issues

· People with learning and or physical disabilities.

· Older people

· Families with support needs

· People with drug or alcohol issues

Support is offered in the following areas:

· Advice on rights and responsibilities to maintain a home

· Support to deal with financial issues

· Help to apply for financial assistance, including benefits

· Support to settle into a new home

· Assistance in dealing with neighbour disputes

· Signposting to other support and services available

· Liaison with other agencies

· Support to develop confidence

Each person will be allocated the most appropriate level of support depending on their needs.

This may include:

· Drop-in support for low-level needs

· Allocated support worker

A limited number of home visits are available for those unable to visit our office.
