Dial-a-Ride membership

Dial-a-Ride membership is required to use the London Dial-a-Ride service. You must have a permanent or long-term disability which means you are unable to use public transport. You are automatically eligible for membership if you are applying under Special Rules, a Taxicard member, or receiving the Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance, or the Standard or Enhanced Mobility Rate of the Personal Independence Payment (PIP); you may also be eligible if you are registered blind or partially sighted, aged 85 or over, receiving a Higher Rate Attendance Allowance, or receiving a War Pension Mobility Supplement. If none of these automatic criteria apply, you may still join Dial-a-Ride but you will have to undergo a paper-based mobility assessment to establish eligibility. You can apply if you are a permanent or temporary resident of a London borough. For digital applications, email membership@tfl.gov.uk with verification documents; if you print the form, post it with copies to London Dial-A-Ride, PO Box 68799, London SE1P 4RD. You can also call 0343 222 7777 to request an application form. The page also notes a Taxicard option for London residents with mobility or sight impairments and provides contact details for Dial-a-Ride (DAR@tfl.gov.uk). This page is part of Transport for London ( TfL ).
