Drug and Alcohol Support

WDP provides a range of health and wellbeing services to adults and young people across the UK.

If you need advice or help around your drug and alcohol use, we can help you get the support you need.

Alcohol Support

If you are worried about your own or someone else's alcohol use, please make a referral!

Over time, drinking alcohol above the national low-risk guidelines is likely to impact your day-to-day life in a negative way, as well affecting the relationships with those closest to you.

WDP provides free and confidential treatment and support to help you manage, reduce, or stop your alcohol use.

We also offer help to your family and loved ones so that they can receive advice on how best to support you.

Drug Support

If you are worried about your own or someone else's drug use, please make a referral.

There are a lot of reasons why people use prescribed (over-the-counter) and non-prescribed drugs.

Many people seek help when they realise that they are not in full control of their drug use and that that their dependence is impacting negatively on their everyday life, health, and relationships.

WDP provides free and confidential treatment and support to help you manage, reduce, or stop your drug use.

We also offer help to your family and loved ones so that they can receive advice on how best to support you.

Young people

If you are worried about your own or a young person’s health and wellbeing, please make a referral

WDP has a number of different support services for young people, offering help and advice around drug and alcohol use, mental health, and sexual health.

We work with young people in their local community at a location most accessible to them, such as schools, youth clubs and other local venues – or remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic.

We build relationships with young people to increase their knowledge and insight to help them make more informed choices.

Detox and rehab

WDP provides a range of support and treatment programmes for people who are dependent on drugs or alcohol in their local community. Part of this can sometimes be to help provide access to in-patient detox and rehab.

Our own residential detoxification and rehabilitation facility is Passmores House – a safe and supportive environment that provides first-class care and is located near the Essex/Hertfordshire border.

Employment Support

WDP provides employment support to those who are experiencing or have experienced drug or alcohol issues through our ground-breaking service, IPS Into Work.

We offer help and guidance around CV and cover letter writing, confidence building, job searches, interview preparation, training referrals, as well as in-work support.

IPS Into Work is open to unemployed individuals aged 18 or over who are looking for paid and sustainable employment and living in one of the eight West London boroughs where we work.

Smoking cessation

Stopping smoking is an important and worthwhile decision. No matter how long you have smoked for, quitting can help both your physical and mental health immediately.
