**DIYA: A Support Group for South Asian Community Members in Harrow** DIYA is a welcoming community initiative designed for individuals from the South Asian community who are experiencing mental health challenges. We celebrate the rich diversity of languages and beliefs among our members, including Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Urdu, Punjabi speakers, and those of various faiths such as Hinduism, Islam, Sikhism, Christianity, and Buddhism. **What We Offer:** - A support group that provides a safe space for discussion and engagement in wellbeing activities. - Monthly mental health and wellbeing workshops that last for two hours. **Who Can Join?** - Open to South Asian community members in Harrow facing mental health challenges. **When Do We Meet?** - Last Thursday of each month. **Where Are We Located?** - Typically held at Harrow Baptist Church, Central Harrow. **Cost:** - Free of charge. **Activities Provided:** - Member-led activities: Yoga, Arts & Crafts, Cultural Events - Professionally-led sessions: Talking Therapies and others - Outings and excursions, including picnics - Mental health and wellbeing workshops focusing on self-love and compassion Our programs address culturally-specific mental health needs, tackling issues such as stigma, social isolation, and loneliness—key barriers to recovery.
