Lunchclub for Carers of People with Dementia

Kingston Carers Network runs a friendly monthly lunch support group for carers of people with dementia. This group offers a welcoming space to meet others in similar situations, share experiences, and receive peer support in a safe, non-judgemental environment.

What to expect:

  • Meetings are held once a month on a weekday, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm.
  • Venues vary across Kingston, including local restaurants, cafes, or pubs, providing variety and opportunity for carers.
  • Each session includes a two-course meal and a drink, with a £5 cash contribution payable on the day.
  • Occasionally, professionals are invited to speak about their work and local services.

How to join:

  • Spaces must be booked in advance.
  • Bookings are made via e-mail invitation for carers who have registered and consented to receive information about the dementia carers' support group.
  • If you have not registered, contact the office by email or phone to give consent and receive invitations.
  • You can also sign up for reminders online.

This group is a great way to connect, learn, and enjoy a meal in good company. If you care for someone with dementia and would like support, we welcome you to join us.
