East Yorkshire Food Bank

East Yorkshire Foodbank provides emergency food parcels to people in crisis through a voucher referral system.

If you are struggling to put food on the table, you can get help by contacting a local referral agency such as Citizens Advice, children’s centres, or health visitors. These agencies will take some basic details to understand your situation and, if appropriate, issue you a foodbank voucher.

How it works:

  • Visit a referral agency to discuss your circumstances.
  • If you are eligible, you will be given a foodbank voucher.
  • Exchange your voucher at your nearest foodbank centre for a minimum of three days’ emergency food, tailored to the number of people in your household.

Referral agencies can also offer longer-term support to help address the underlying causes of your crisis.

Our vision is to ensure that no one in the East Riding of Yorkshire has to go hungry. In 2023/24, we provided food for over 139,000 meals thanks to our donors and volunteers.

If you are a referral agency and wish to become a registered voucher holder, please contact us for more information.

Visits to our main office are by appointment only and no sessions are run onsite.
