Mental Health Mates is a nationwide network of volunteer-led, peer support groups that encourage people to get moving and talking for their mental health. Founded by Bryony Gordon, our groups regularly meet across the UK to walk, connect, and share experiences in a safe, non-judgemental environment.
Whether you’re struggling with your mental health or simply want to connect with others, you are not alone. Our walks are open to everyone and provide a welcoming space to talk, listen, and support each other. Movement and connection are at the heart of what we do, helping people manage their mental wellbeing through regular group walks.
- Free to join – no cost to participate in walks.
- Peer support – led by volunteers with lived experience.
- Regular walks – find a walk near you or start your own.
- Safe and inclusive – all are welcome, no judgement.
To get involved, simply find a walk or contact us if you’d like to set up a group in your area. Please note: Mental Health Mates is not a replacement for professional therapy or crisis support. For urgent help, visit Mind or call 999 in an emergency.
