The Community Veterans Service provides specialist support for former British Armed Forces personnel experiencing symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Led by a specialist nurse therapist, the service offers friendly, accessible help and face-to-face trauma therapy tailored to veterans' needs. In addition to individual therapy, there are two monthly veterans groups for extra support and education.
The nurse therapist works closely with you to address unresolved trauma and can help you access other health and wellbeing services as needed. You will be invited to meet at a location closest to you, where your treatment plan will be discussed and developed together. Ongoing support is provided throughout your recovery journey.
- Eligibility: Former-service personnel who served in the British Armed Forces and are experiencing symptoms of PTSD.
