Medway Parents & Carers Forum (MPCF) is an independent, parent-led charity supporting families of children and young people (0-25) with all types of disabilities and additional support needs in Medway.
We bring together parent carers to provide mutual support, share knowledge, and influence local policy and practice. Our goal is to ensure better outcomes for families through participation and co-production with local authorities, health services, and other providers.
What we offer:
- Regular coffee mornings, training sessions, and workshops—both in person and online.
- Opportunities to meet professionals and representatives from Medway Council and Kent & Medway Clinical Commissioning Group.
- Supportive events where you can connect with other parents and carers, share experiences, and give feedback on local services such as school transport and SEND provision.
- Training on topics like ECHP’s and updates on local services.
Why join?
- Connect with others who understand your journey.
- Benefit from information, signposting, and emotional support.
- Make your voice heard to help shape services for children and young people with SEND in Medway.
Membership is free and open to all parent carers in Medway. We work alongside Medway Council and Kent & Medway CCG to ensure your views are represented and services are improved for families.
