BeWell@StepOne Toolbox Peer Support Group - Paignton

**BeWell@StepOne's Toolbox Peer Support Group** Join us every Thursday from 10 AM to 12.30 PM for our in-person Toolbox Peer Support Group at The Community Hut, located behind St Paul’s Church, accessible via Locarno Avenue, Preston, Paignton, TQ3 2DH.  **What We Offer:** - **Weekly Meetings**: Each session focuses on a different self-help or self-management tool aimed at enhancing mental health and wellbeing. This group is not counselling or therapy, but many find it very helpful and therapuetic. Please also note that Step One is not an emergency service.  - **Relevant Topics**: Discussions cover various strategies to mitigate the effects of depression, anxiety and difficulties with managing emotions. It aims to support overall wellbeing and resilience, and provide a chance to explore and gain a deeper understanding of various potential coping techniques. •Kind Communication: Please be supportive, patient, respectful, tolerant and inclusive in chat and conversation.

•Share in Your Own Way: Speak, type, or simply listen—whatever feels right for you. 

•Look After Yourself: Take breaks when needed and please respect your own boundaries and those of others.

•Staying on Track: Please keep discussions helpful and relevant; facilitators may gently guide the conversation.

•Group Purpose and Safety: Please be mindful of what you share so that the space remains safe and supportive for all.                   This is a supportive space, not therapy. We encourage participants to express how they are feeling and share experiences in a supportive way and is not a space to explore trauma in depth. 

•Safe Participation: Please join only when you feel safe to engage and not if under the influence of drugs or alcohol .

•Positive Atmosphere: If something feels disruptive/unsafe, facilitators may offer gentle guidance/support.

•Facilitator Presence: A facilitator will be with the group for support; sessions may be rescheduled if needed.

•Enjoy the Space: Please focus on connection, encouragement, and shared growth.
