Thames Chase Community Forest is a vibrant environmental initiative dedicated to restoring and enhancing the landscape for leisure, wellbeing, and biodiversity. Spanning 40 square miles across Barking and Dagenham, Brentwood, Havering, and Thurrock, the forest offers a unique opportunity to enjoy nature and countryside close to London and Essex.
Managed by the Thames Chase Trust, this project focuses on woodland creation, biodiversity, and transforming derelict land into thriving green spaces. Over the next 40 years, Thames Chase aims to plant 5.5 million trees and increase woodland coverage to 30% of the area, benefiting both local communities and wildlife.
