Medway Short Intervention Therapy (SIT) Project
The Medway Short Intervention Therapy (SIT) project offers accessible mental health support exclusively for Medway residents. This service is available for children and young people (CYP) aged 5-18, or up to 25 for those with special educational needs (SEN) or care leavers.
**Service Details:**
- **Therapy Sessions**: Participants can engage in a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 therapy sessions.
- **Settings**: Sessions are provided in both one-on-one and group formats.
- **Eligibility**: This service is specifically designed for those accessing Children’s Social Care, including Children in Care and Care Leavers.
- **Therapeutic Disciplines**: Participants can choose from three therapeutic approaches:
- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
- Creative Therapy

Service access criteria:
Children and Young Person's Services, designed for those aged 5-18, or 18-25 for those with SEN or care leavers. (Please note this referral must be from a professional working with a CYP in Medway that has either Looked after, Previously Looked After or a Care Leaver.)
