POhWER has been supporting people in Leicestershire since 2007. We provide a range of free, independent advocacy services to help you have your voice heard and your rights respected.
Our services in Leicestershire include:
- NHS Complaints Advocacy: Support for anyone wishing to make a complaint about NHS-funded treatment or care.
- Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA): Helping people understand and exercise their rights under the Mental Health Act.
- Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA): Supporting those who cannot make certain decisions about their lives, including Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).
- Care Act Advocacy: Assisting people to be involved in decisions made by their local council about their care and support.
- Relevant Person's Paid Representative Services (RPPR): We are one of five providers in Leicestershire; referrals must come via the supervisory body.
