Need a regular break from caring, knowing the person you care for is safe?
Oxfordshire Volunteer Befriending Service supports unpaid family carers by arranging short respite breaks. A trained volunteer sits with the person you care for for 2 to 3 hours each week or fortnight.
- Gives carers time to rest, go out, exercise or meet friends
- The volunteer stays with the person cared for and helps them feel safe
- Volunteers can make a cup of tea
- Volunteers do not administer medication, provide personal care, or do moving and handling
- The service is for carers in Oxfordshire
Cost: Free, with optional donations
