Breathe Easy Isle of Wight is a friendly support group for anyone living with a chronic lung condition on the Isle of Wight. We offer a welcoming space to connect, share experiences, and find encouragement among people who understand what you're going through.
Monthly Meetings: Join us on the first Tuesday of every month from 2pm to 4pm at Arreton Village Hall. Our meetings include refreshments, time to chat, and often feature talks from respiratory healthcare professionals. Family members are welcome too!
Monthly Socials: We also hold social events on the third Tuesday of each month at various locations around the island. These range from coffee mornings and afternoon teas to quizzes, raffles, and awareness stands at local events.
- Stay updated with our monthly E-Newsletter, packed with news, articles, puzzles, and more.
- Take part in our Keep Active program, offering weekly exercise classes led by a qualified specialist in chronic respiratory, cancer rehabilitation, and falls prevention.
- Occasional meetings focus on specific lung conditions, such as Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) and Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF).
Affiliation: We are proud to be affiliated with Asthma + Lung UK, supporting people affected by any lung condition.
Funding: Our group is funded solely by donations and fundraising events, which also help provide respiratory medical equipment for local healthcare providers.
How to join: If you or a loved one has a chronic lung condition, simply come along to a meeting or contact us for more information. We look forward to welcoming you!
