The Refugee Wellbeing Service provides trauma-informed talking therapies and wellbeing support for refugees, asylum seekers, and individuals under the Afghan and Syrian resettlement schemes in Coventry and Warwickshire.
Our team of experienced clinicians offers direct therapeutic interventions tailored to children, young people, and adults who have experienced traumatic events related to migration, war, violence, torture, loss, and adjustment. We support those who have arrived in the UK within the last 5 years and are registered with a GP.
- Individual and group therapy sessions are available, including comprehensive assessments that consider your physical, social, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing.
- Group sessions focus on psychoeducation, safety, emotional stability, improving sleep, regulating emotions, and managing symptoms of trauma and anxiety.
- One-to-one therapy helps you make sense of your experiences, overcome trauma, low mood, stress, grief, and difficulties adapting to life in the UK.
- Interpreters are available to support non-English speakers, and any concerns about interpretation can be discussed confidentially.
- Training and consultation for professionals and organisations working with refugees, including workshops on trauma, supporting refugees, and working with interpreters.
All information shared with the service is confidential and only shared with other agencies if necessary, with your consent wherever possible.
