
Free programme funded by NHS England and run by London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust
For people who have had a minor stroke or mini stroke (TIA). You must be able to walk outdoors without physical assistance however you can join if you use a stick to walk with.
It is a 12 week secondary prevention programme at Harrow Leisure Centre on Tuesdays 2-4pm (no transport provided but there is free parking)
1 hour professional led exercise group (weekly exercises such as tai chi, yoga, circuits, soccersize, mindfulness, relaxation and breathing exercises)
1 hour expert led education session on how you can reduce your risk of having another stroke
For Northwest London patients (Brent, Harrow, Ealing, Hillingdon, Hounslow)
You can self refer via the JOY app or by emailing sophie.kempsford@nhs.net
If English is not your first language you are still welcome to join as long as you bring someone who can help translate.
Must be able to get to Harrow Leisure Centre, can bring family/ friend to translate if needed
