Foodbank Vouchers helps residents in financial hardship access emergency food support by acting as a referral point within Havering. Havering Volunteer Centre partners with all three Trussell Trust foodbanks in the borough (Collier Row & Romford Foodbank; Harold Hill Foodbank; Rainham Foodbank). When a Havering resident is struggling, you can contact the Centre on 01708 922214. Staff will take basic details, assess immediate needs, decide whether an emergency foodbank voucher is appropriate, issue the voucher, and explain where and how it can be redeemed. Vouchers are generally issued following a telephone assessment, with a limit of up to 3 vouchers within any 6-month period through the Trussell Trust system. If a voucher limit has been reached, the centre can still signpost to alternative support services. This service is designed for Havering residents in need of emergency food and works in conjunction with the borough’s three foodbanks to provide access to food parcels.
