Make Lunch Royston offers a free, healthy cooked lunch twice a week during school holidays for families who would normally receive free school meals, or who are experiencing other difficulties. The service is designed to support wellbeing by providing nutritious food, a safe space to make friends, and fun activities for all ages.
What to expect:
- Free, healthy cooked lunch for the whole family, twice a week in school holidays (including half term).
- Friendship and a welcoming environment to meet others and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.
- Family learning activities, including crafts, games, and special sessions to support children's learning.
- All staff and volunteers are DBS checked, and the service follows a regularly reviewed safeguarding policy.
Who can attend? Families receiving pupil premium funding (free school meals) or experiencing other challenges that would benefit from extra support are welcome. No professional referral is needed—just register online using a simple form.
Volunteering: Volunteers are always welcome, and giving back to the local community is a great way to boost your own wellbeing.
