St Petrocs Community Space

Community Space is a welcoming weekly gathering held every Friday morning at St Petroc’s Parish Centre, Priory Road, Bodmin. Volunteers serve complimentary hot drinks and cakes for everyone to enjoy, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere for food and friendship.

Originally established as a Warm Space in October 2022, Community Space continues to offer wholesome food for eating in or taking out, thanks to the dedication of its volunteers. The sessions regularly attract a diverse group of attendees, including those seeking companionship and support.

Social support agencies such as Energy Plus, Council Representatives, an NHS homeless initiative, and the Grace Project (Wadebridge) attend the sessions to provide advice and support. Bodmin Way's Parish Nurse, Geraldine Ashton, is also present every week and available for private consultations.

Community Cook Up is a monthly cooking session led by Beth Woolley (intoBodmin’s hospitality lead) and hosted by Revd Elaine. It encourages people to learn more about cooking in a relaxed, supportive environment. Cook Up meets on Wednesdays once a month from 12.30pm to 2.30pm at St Petroc’s Parish Centre. Upcoming dates include: 14 February, 13 March, 10 April, 15 May, 12 June, 10 July, and 14 August.

Both gatherings are open to everyone and run by Revd Elaine Munday with the support of volunteers. No booking is required and there is no charge to attend.
