Peer support groups bring people together to provide mutual support for their mental health and wellbeing in a safe and welcoming space.
“Having the chance to speak to people who have been through similar experiences to me can be incredibly reassuring, providing a sense of belonging, and helps me find the support that’s right for me.”
At Mind in Berkshire we provide free, friendly, informal peer support groups in Wokingham town centre. We have an art group as well as open peer support groups where you can connect with others over various activities, or just enjoy a cuppa and a chat. All our groups aim to:
· bring people with shared experiences together to support each other;
· provide a space where you feel accepted and understood;
· treat everyone’s views and experiences as equally valued;
· involve both giving and receiving support.
