Charnwood Family Hubs

Family Hubs Leicestershire is a welcoming one-stop shop for families, children, and young people across Leicestershire. Our hubs are at the heart of the community, offering advice, information, and resources to help families navigate every stage of life—from pregnancy and early years, through childhood, and into young adulthood.

We work in partnership with local organisations to provide support on a wide range of topics, including communication and language development, mental health, moving to secondary school, online safety, affordable warmth, and more. Our hubs host regular events and clubs, such as:

  • SEND Saturday Clubs for children on the Autism Spectrum and those with additional needs
  • Children’s Saturday Morning Clubs and play sessions for various age groups
  • Women empowerment workshops and creative groups
  • Stay and Play groups for young children and their families
  • Support for families with financial worries, mental health challenges, and special educational needs

All sessions are free unless otherwise stated, and everyone is welcome. We also provide links to helpful guides, such as preparing for secondary school and tips for healthier screen time.

Service access criteria:

Parents/carers and young people aged 0-19 (25 with SEND) can come along to a Family Hub for support, advice and guidance. Some services are by invite only, or by referral which is usually done by your GP, health visitor, midwife or school. You can however make a self referral using the following link
