Dads in Mind is a dedicated project from Havering Mind, designed to support fathers in the early stages of parenting, especially those with children aged 0-3 years (the perinatal stage).
This service is inclusive to all dads, including those with current or previous low to moderate mental health needs, or who may be experiencing relationship difficulties. We understand the unique challenges and emotions that come with fatherhood, and our team is here to help you navigate this journey.
What we offer:
- Practical support through one-to-one sessions, online groups, and in-person groups.
- A safe space to talk about your fears and the issues you are facing.
- Advice and tools to help you understand your own mental health and manage stress, anxiety, and depression.
- Support to help you feel less pressured or overwhelmed by perinatal mental health challenges.
- Guidance to help with parenting and relationship expectations.
We aim to clear up stigmas around dads, empower you with practical techniques, and provide simple ways to cope with everyday challenges.
