The club visits different venues each week with different disability access (indicated by sign on the schedule). Sketch Club Falmouth generally welcomes between 30 and 40 participants on Wednesdays and around 15 on Fridays (10am to 11am). It is a very friendly group of mainly retired women, but also includes participants with physical disabilities, mental health problems… and people who feel isolated with no connections or family closed by or again have lost their partner. All adults can join in at any sessions (unless specified differently on the schedule), it’s £5 per participants (£4 concession).
People can learn to work digitally on an iPads (using Procreate application) on Friday sessions if they wish to complete the brief on their own or one of Sketch Club’s iPads.
There is a new brief for each session (suitable for all), people just need to bring their own tools (favourite pens, sketchbook or paper) they wish to work with. Occasionally we have models to pose for us (stilt walker, dancers in costume…).
