John Huntingdon's Charity

John Huntingdon’s Charity (JHC) is here to support people living in and around Sawston, Cambridge. We offer a wide range of services to help individuals and families facing challenges, including:

  • Help & Advice: Our Support Service is a trusted resource for local residents, providing guidance and practical help for a variety of needs.
  • Housing Support: We help families and individuals secure safe, stable accommodation. Over the last decade, we have assisted 29 families in moving to permanent homes and currently house almost 60 people in the village.
  • Grants & Bursaries: JHC provides financial support to school children, vulnerable adults, and others in need through grants and bursaries tailored to specific circumstances.
  • Food Bank: We run a local food bank and welcome donations of essential items to support those experiencing hardship.
  • Community Support: Our work extends to helping children, families, young people, and the elderly, as well as maintaining green spaces for the benefit of all.

Who can access our services? We support people living in Sawston and the surrounding area. Our services are open to families, parents, carers, children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
