Join Havering’s weekly Tea Dance session for older people and anyone who enjoys a friendly, social afternoon of music, movement and tea. The event runs every Thursday at The New Windmill Hall, St Mary’s Lane, Upminster RM14 2QH. The dance lesson is from 12:30pm to 1:15pm, followed by a Tea Dance from 1:30pm to 3:30pm. It’s a relaxed, welcoming activity where you can try new steps or practise ones you already know, in the company of others. The session is organised by the London Borough of Havering’s Sports Development team and is suitable for a wide range of abilities, from complete beginners to more experienced dancers. Cost is £7.50 for the combined lesson and tea dance, or £4 for the tea dance only. For bookings or questions, contact sportsdevelopment@havering.gov.uk or call 01708 341016. The activity recurs weekly on Thursdays from 29 January 2026 to 1 January 2036 (subject to venue availability and public health guidance).
