Feel Good in the Forest at Guisborough offers a welcoming programme of free activities designed to support your health and wellbeing in the beautiful setting of Guisborough Forest.
Our timetable includes:
- Tai Chi: Mindful movement sessions led by an experienced instructor, suitable for all abilities and adaptable to individual needs. Includes relaxation and mindfulness.
- Walking Photography: Friendly, supportive walks to improve your photography skills using a camera or smartphone, with time to socialise afterwards.
- Forest Yoga: Beginner-friendly yoga classes focusing on gentle movement, standing poses, and relaxation, all while enjoying the healing benefits of nature.
- Nature Journaling: Slow down and connect with the forest through creative journaling. All materials provided; no experience needed. Accessible sessions available.
- The Men's Wild Haven: A men's mental health group offering woodland skills, greenwood working, and a supportive space to talk, listen, or simply enjoy company.
- NUR in Nature: Women-only wellbeing walks led by multi-lingual staff, specialising in support for the BME community. Free limited transport available from Middlesbrough.
- Forest Wellbeing Walks (Dog Friendly): Leisurely, inclusive walks for all abilities, led by staff and volunteers, with plenty of opportunities for dogs to rest and explore.
All activities are free-of-charge and include optional time for refreshments and socialising. You can self-refer or be referred by a support organisation or worker.

Who can attend? Most sessions are open to all adults, with some activities tailored for specific groups (e.g. men, women, BME community). All abilities are welcome, and sessions can be adapted to meet your needs. Please contact us to discuss accessibility or support requirements.

- Experiencing a health inequality
- At risk of loneliness and isolation
- Not completing 150 minutes of activity per week
