Health and wellbeing services for people with HIV

Positive East is East London's leading HIV and sexual health charity. We are dedicated to improving the lives of people living with or affected by HIV, offering a comprehensive and holistic range of support services.

Our services include:

  • Free, confidential counselling for people living with HIV.
  • Social and support groups: Regular groups and events to connect, share experiences, and build community.
  • Health & wellbeing programmes: Creative activities, workshops, courses, and holistic therapies to support your physical and mental health.
  • Peer support and mentoring: One-to-one and group support from people with lived experience.
  • Women 4 Women: Dedicated support for women living with HIV.
  • Benefit advice: Specialist advice to help you access the benefits you are entitled to.
  • Project Community: Outreach and engagement for people living with HIV in East London.
  • HIV/STI testing: Free, rapid, and confidential testing for anyone over 18. Book online or visit us during our testing hours.

We also offer prevention and outreach services, including information about PrEP and PEP, and free condoms and lube.

Who can access our services? If you are living with HIV in East London or receive your HIV clinical care in East London, you can access our full range of support. HIV/STI testing is available to anyone over 18.

How to access: You can self-refer via our online portal, call us, or visit our centre during office hours. Some services require booking in advance.

Cost: Most services, including counselling and testing, are free of charge.

Location: Our centre is in Mile End, near Stepney Green tube station. We also offer outreach and community-based activities across East London.

Living with HIV, and resident in any of the East London Boroughs, or receiving their HIV treatment at any of the East London HIV clinics.
