Focuses on anxiety, stress and worry management. Elements of exercise and nutrition and setting values and goals.
Change Grow Live group
This group is run in partnership with the Change Grow Live charity which focuses on recognising negative thoughts, relaxation and anxiety, stress and worry management. This group is tailored to those struggling with alcohol and drugs misuse.
Mood management Group
If you find that you are constantly worrying about all sorts of things, regularly worrying about the worst case scenarios, or over-thinking things a lot, and may result in avoiding things that might make you feel anxious, or affecting your concentration, energy, or sleep, this group is for you. The group is set up to teach tools and techniques to reduce the impact of worry on the mind and body, and to also find ways to cope with uncertainty. Counselling bereavement group
Conventionally focused on the emotional response to loss, grief also has physical, cognitive, behavioural, social, cultural, spiritual and philosophical dimensions. Bereavement Group will be a mix of psychoeducation and therapy to offer processing of grief which is sometimes a strong and overwhelming emotion for people.
PTSD
An introduction to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). It aims to help you understand what PTSD is and how it can be overcome with CBT. We explain common symptoms and help you to begin to understand common reactions to a traumatic experience. It will also provide some basic coping strategies for use whilst awaiting individual therapy.
OCD Group
This group focuses on attempting to ignore or suppress intrusive thoughts, urges, or images, often seeking to neutralise them through alternative thoughts or actions, such as engaging in compulsive behaviours.
This is also for Individuals who may engage in repetitive behaviours (e.g., hand washing, organising, checking) or mental rituals (e.g., praying, counting, silently repeating words) driven by an obsession or adhering to rigidly applied rules.
Health anxiety group
Our health anxiety group is a great intervention for anyone suffering with excessive health concerns whether physical or mental. This could be excessively worrying about symptoms, repeatedly checking symptoms on the internet or repeatedly seeking reassurance from a doctor or from others.
MBCBT - Mindfulness based CBT group
This group focuses on helping participants develop awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations in the present moment. By incorporating mindfulness practices, such as meditation and breathing exercises, participants learn to manage stress and anxiety more effectively.
Older Adults group
This group addresses the unique challenges and experiences this demographic faces. The group provides a supportive environment where members can openly discuss issues like retirement, health concerns, changes in family dynamics, and the emotional impacts of aging. For aged 65+ however clients aged 50+ are welcome to attend.
Carers Group
The role of a carer is rewarding however the stress and pressures that come with the role can lead us to experiencing different forms of mental health issues, if you are a carer and you are beginning to feel low mood and anxious this could be the best group for you.
Long Term Conditions group
The Long Term Conditions Group aims to provide you with a toolbox of skills to help people cope better with a broad range of physical and psychological distress. The group empower clients to pursue positive goals, develop greater acceptance of unchangeable aspects of health, and improve quality of life.
Living better with Long Covid group
This group is uniquely designed if you are suffering from physical side effects from suffering with COVID-19 (Long Covid). Often, physical elements can manifest as emotional or psychological challenges, creating a complex web of symptoms that are difficult to untangle alone. Our therapy sessions provide a safe environment where participants can openly discuss their experiences, share insights, and learn from one another under the guidance of skilled therapists.
