The Maximising Independence Service is a therapy-led, multidisciplinary team supporting adults aged 18 and over in Sutton. Our team includes nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, assistant practitioners, rehabilitation assistants, and healthcare assistants, working closely with your GP or acute frailty team.
We help people with physical or medical conditions that affect their ability to function day-to-day, such as walking, balance, or hand function. Our goal is to assess your needs and provide tailored interventions to promote independence and improve your quality of life.

Registered with a Sutton GP
For patients under the age of 65, they would need to be housebound and a physiotherapy need only. For patients over the age of 65 the criteria is to have a fear of falling, or history of falls, decline in mobility and require occupational therapy, physiotherapy and/or nursing needs.
