North Kent Podiatry helps people look after their feet and lower limbs. The service assesses, diagnoses and Treats foot pain, mobility problems and conditions that could lead to serious complications if left untreated. It also provides advice and education to help keep feet healthy. The service is for adults, children and young people aged 0 to 19 years who may be at risk of developing foot health issues due to medical conditions or complex podiatry needs. Appointments take place in local clinics, and home visits are available for people who can’t attend in person. The service runs Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm. If needed, patients can be referred to specialist services for further assessment and treatment. The podiatry service includes an orthotics service, to assess and supply specialist insoles or supports to improve comfort and function. Children and young people from birth to 19 years with foot/lower limb problems affecting health, comfort or mobility can access the service, subject to local eligibility criteria (e.g., GP registration in the Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley area). People not eligible include those not registered with a GP in the service area, those whose main diagnosis is a mental health condition, or those needing only simple nail care. Referral is via a dedicated form submitted by email. The service is delivered by HCRG Care Services Limited on behalf of the Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley Health and Care Partnership.
